Cleaning

Pianos need to be clean on the regular bases. They are exposed to environmental pollutions of our houses such as dust, pet dander, cooking oil particles in the air etc. Cleanliness of all the mechanical parts of the piano will affect the way it performs on fills when we touch the keys. It can also affect our health. Every time we sit down to play and start pressing the keys, all the dust start flying around and we inhale it.

The process consists of:

  • Taking off all the cabinet parts and remove the action.
  • Reshape the hammer felt if necessary.
  • Clean the soundboard, strings, keyboard, action, action cavity, cabinet, plate, tuning pin area.
  • Vacuum and blow clean with air compressor interior of the piano.
  • Clean and polish exterior of the cabinet.
